The Beginning Jane Allen didn't think of herself as someone who was going to help transform the way experienced attorneys practice law. In fact, she was somewhat apprehensive when she proposed to work on an assignment basis at a modest hourly rate in a prominent law firm (where she held a full-time position) so she could spend more time with her children. But when she realized how much more control she had over her schedule – and the benefits and flexibility her work provided the client – that anxiety started to wane. In 2000, Counsel On Call officially opened its doors and as talented attorneys quickly joined Jane's ranks, business blossomed. Since that time, our company has won numerous awards both locally and nationally, including being named to the Inc. 500 list of America's fastest-growing private companies three times. We currently have hundreds of attorneys working for clients on-site, in our offices, and remotely.
